Exploited | Social Thriller – Disrupter Films
Contemporary Social Thriller · Feature
EXPLOITED is a contemporary social thriller about privacy, consent, digital humiliation and the ease with which abuse becomes normalized when responsibility is divided among many people.
After an intimate recording made without her consent spreads through an anonymous college network, an architecture student begins tracing the people behind it. What first appears to be one act of betrayal gradually reveals a larger system of complicity — students who share material, administrators who look away, platforms that make circulation easy, and ordinary people who convince themselves they are only one small part of the harm.
The film follows her attempt to identify who violated her privacy and hold them accountable, but the deeper story is about how exploitation survives when no single person feels fully responsible.
As the investigation expands, the question shifts from who did this? to how many people had to participate before it became normal?
EXPLOITED is a thriller about consent, technology, institutional avoidance and the distance people create between their actions and the consequences those actions have on someone else.
